Dec 19, 2021

Are you a flow enthusiast, avid Hooper or Instructor? Guest Blogger, Graphic Designer, and HoopYogini™, Jaide Lehnhardt, offers ways you can utilize social media to connect with the flow community, share skills and bring attention to your classes and offerings.

By 2017, we have all come accustomed to the presence of social media. Social media definitely has its ups and downs but if used correctly, it can be a great place to connect with fellow flow artists. To help you utilize social media to it’s fullest, we have come up with 5 tips on how to connect with fellow flow artists.

Use Hashtags

Believe it or not, hashtags are a great way to put yourself out there on social media outlets such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr. Hashtags allow people to easily search a specific theme or content. We encourage you to explore using hashtags and see what you find! Common hashtags used on Instagram are:

  • #flowartists
  • #hoopersofinstagram
  • #hooplah
  • #unityofthehulahoopers
  • #hoopyogini

Join Groups

There are a ton of flow art groups that are just waiting for you to join them! Take advantage of these groups and the connections that they create. Be active and show your fellow hoopers and other flow artists some love. Facebook has a lot of groups for active flow artists such as:

  • Infinite Circle Community
  • Infinite Circles: Activism
  • Flow Artists Conquering Anxiety
  • Flow Art Lounge

Create a Performance Page

Creating a page specifically for your hoop journey on Facebook and Instagram is a great idea. It separates your personal life from your hoop life. This can be a good thing because it gives your hoop journey the spotlight it deserves and gives you an outlet for everything flow. Comments from family members are always appreciated, however, your page followers will most likely be fellow flow artists that have some relatable input to share.

Show Some Love

Take the initiative to explore and follow fellow hoopers and other flow artists. Stay active in groups and make some flow friends! Like their posts and comment on their videos. Let them know that they are killin’ it! Share and repost videos that you love and that inspire you! Be a positive force and positivity will come to you as well! Go ahead and start right now! Like the HoopYogini Facebook page and follow us on Instagram @hoopyogini_worldwide.
